Goa: JP Nadda, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), offered prayers at the Mahalaxmi Temple in Panaji on Thursday, November 25.. Nadda is in Goa for a two-day visit starting from Wednesday, ahead of the assembly elections slated for next year.
According to Nadda's office's info, Nadda would begin his tour by praying at the Mahalaxmi Temple in Panaji. After that, he will ll speak at two party worker meetings in Valpo and Bicholim.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been named as the state's election in-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In addition, the state's Assembly elections will be co-ordinated by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and MP Darshana Jardosh. Notably, Goa's assembly elections are scheduled for early 2022.
A Trinamool Congress (TMC) delegation led by Lok Sabha MP Saugata Roy, former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, former Goa Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro, and Goa TMC leaders Swati Kerkar and Doris Teixeira submitted two memorandums to Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai at the Raj Bhavan last month, demanding the resignation of Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
