Kolkata: BJP National President JP Nadda, who went on a tour of West Bengal, strongly targeted the state's CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee in Malda. Nadda said that Mamata didi has done injustice to the farmers here. She did not implement the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in West Bengal due to her stubbornness, arrogance and pride. She has deprived more than 70 lakh farmers of its benefits here.

JP Nadda further said, 'CM Mamata has done a great injustice to the farmers in Bengal. The PM had announced to pay 6,000 rupees a year under the Kisan Samman Nidhi to honour farmers, but Mamata didi did not allow it to be implemented in Bengal because of her insistence'. He said, 'Today when about 25 lakh farmers of Bengal sent applications for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to the Central Government, Mamata Ji said that I will implement the scheme too. Mamata Ji, elections have come now. Now, what do you regret, when the bird has devoured the field.'

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been making full efforts for the assembly elections in West Bengal, is about to start the rath yatras. The party's national president JP Nadda reached Kolkata last night. JP Nadda will begin the first rath yatra from Navadwip in Nadia district. The BJP will conduct 5 such rath yatras across the state. BJP has named this campaign as Parivartan Yatra. It is the birthplace of 15th-century saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
