New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can get a new national president today. The Central Election Committee of the BJP is going to conduct the process of selecting the new party president on Monday. The party's working president JP Nadda will reach the party headquarters today to file his nomination for the post of president. However, Nadda's election to be elected unopposed is believed to be almost certain.

Let it be said that in the BJP, it has been a tradition to be elected without a contest. It is believed that this time too this will happen. JP Nadda will replace Amit Shah, who was BJP President for almost five and a half years. Shah's tenure of five and a half years can be considered a golden age for the BJP. During this time the party touched new heights of success. The party won most of the assembly elections and then recorded a historic victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Shah's excellent record will be a challenge before Nadda. It was only after Amit Shah became Union Home Minister that the effort to elect a new president started. Nadda is being seen as the choice of PM Narendra Modi for this post. Nadda has been active in politics since his student life and he also has a close relationship with RSS. Nadda was BJP in-charge of Uttar Pradesh in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
