One of the most loved and renowned faces in South Industry. Jyothika Saravanan is celebrating her birthday today. She has also done movies of other south Indian languages such as Telegu,Tamil,  Kannada and Malayalam. She has also acted in several Hindi movies. Despite her success in the industry she left acting after marrying.

Saravanan Sivakumar, better known as Suriya met her lady love for Jyothika Saravanan  in 1999.  Suriya was the son of legendary actor Sivakumar, Jyothika was from Mumbai and hailed from a Punjabi - Maharashtrian background. Jyothika, didn't know Tamil was trying to find her ground.

In 2001 Jyothika went on to become a superstar while Suriya was still waiting for his big breakthrough. The couple began talking, chatting, and spending time together. Jyothika attended the premiere of Suriya's 8th film Nanda but watched it from the projector room. After watching the film, she recommended his name to Gautham Menon for his next project Kaakha Kaakha.

Jyothika was established and the industry was aware that her recommendations would have a lot of weight. Suriya was then cast for the film and Kaakha Kaakha went on to become his most commercial success.  The relationship also saw a few hurdles when Suriya's parents needed to be convinced of this alliance. But against all odds, Suriya and Jyothika got engaged in a low key affair. And in September 2006, the duo tied the knot in Chennai

Jyotika made her debut with the Hindi film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna in 1997. She starred in her first Tamil film Vaali (1999) and her first Telegu Film Tagore, opposite Chiranjeevi. Over the years Jyothika has done several types of roles. After taking a break for marriage she made a comeback on screen. 

The turning point of the actor’s career came with the movies Vaali (1999) and Kushi (2000). She was extremely successful in her career but after 2006 she left the industry when she married. The break lasted for several years until 2015 when she made her comeback with the film 36 Vayadhinile. After that, she did films like Nechiyar (2016), Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (2018), Magalir Mattum (2017).
