Kailash Vijayvargiya, born 13 May 1956, is an Indian politician who is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and serves as the National General Secretary of the party. He has also served as the Minister of Industries, Employment, and Information Technology in the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Vijayvargiya is known for his controversial statements and actions, and has been involved in several political controversies. He has been accused of making derogatory remarks about women and minorities, and has been criticized for his divisive politics.

Despite the controversies surrounding him, Vijayvargiya remains a prominent figure in the BJP, and is seen as a close ally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah. He is also known for his organizational skills, and has played a key role in the BJP's electoral victories in several states.

Political career: Vijayvargiya began his political career in 1975 by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). In 1983, he was elected as a corporator of the Indore Municipal Corporation, and in 1985, he joined the standing committee. He served as the coordinator of the state BJP legal cell as well as the state secretary of the BJP, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), and Indore. 

In 1985, he was appointed state coordinator of the Vidyarthi Parishad. In 1992, he was elected state vice-president of the BJYM. In 1993, he was elected national general secretary of the BJYM and Gujarat's leader. In 1990, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008, and 2013, Vijayvargiya was chosen to serve in the Vidhan Sabha.

When the BJP won its first victory in the Haryana state assembly election in 2014, increasing its seat total from 4 to 47, he was in charge of the party's campaign.[8] In 2015, he was appointed the Bharat Janata Party's national general secretary and the state leader for West Bengal. He was listed among India's top 100 most important people for the year 2021. In West Bengal, where the BJP gained 18 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, he was seen as a game-changer.
