Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is one in the industry who never fails to impress the audience irrespective of film’s result at the box-office. Recently, it was reported that the actor will star in the Telugu remake of Tamil hit film ‘Theri’ and it will be helmed by Santosh Srinivas. According to the latest reports, Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in by the movie makers. She will be pairing up with Ravi Teja in his new film titled Kanakadurga, which is the remake of Vijay starrer Tamil blockbuster Theri. Kajal and Ravi Teja were earlier seen together in Saarochcharu and Veera, both were duds at the box-office.

Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the film will have Ravi Teja as a sincere police officer. It will be a cakewalk for the actor as he was seen as a cop in several films earlier. Apart from Ravi Teja and Kajal Aggarwal, the movie will also feature Catherine Tresa as another female lead. Theri, directed by Atlee, was also dubbed into Telugu as Police. The film starred Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Kanakadurga will start rolling shortly. Apart from this film, Ravi Teja has also joined hands with Vi Anand for a new-age thriller ‘Disco Raja’, which went on to floors recently.
