It is surely raining biopic in the world of films and the latest being a biopic on Tamil Nadu's late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa which has caught the fancy of every filmmaker. More than six biopics on former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa have been announced so far. The latest one to join the list is Sasilalitha, directed by K Jagadeeswara Reddy. The first-look poster of the film was revealed recently.

After Kangana Ranaut announced that she is going to do a biopic on Jayalalitha directed by A.L.Vijay, it is now being reported that Kajol has been roped in to essay the role of former Tamil Nadu CM and veteran actress Jayalalitha.  The director is trying to rope in Bollywood actress Kajol and Tamil actress Amala Paul for the roles of Jayalalithaa and Sasikala respectively. If his plans turn out fine, then Sasilalitha will become the biggest biopic of Jayalalithaa.

Although there is no official confirmation from Kajol and Amala of accepting or rejecting the film, but the makers have released a poster of the film. According to a daily, the film will be made in two parts and will tell the story of Jayalalithaa and her aide Sasikala, who is currently behind the bars.

However, it is not clear if the director has initiated talks with both the heroines. Interestingly, Amala Paul's ex-husband AL Vijay is doing a biopic on J Jayalalithaa titled Thalaivi which has Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. Besides, Lingusamy, Ram Gopal Varma and Bharathiraaja are the other filmmakers who are in the top race to make a biopic on J Jayalalithaa.
