Kamal Haasan  had  2 marriages and 3 love affairs,  remained single at the age of 68

Kamal Haasan is one of the most loved actors in South Industry as well as bollywood. He has worked as  actor, director, dancer, writer, lyricist, playback singer, choreographer, screenwriter, makeup artist and politician in his career span . Kamal Haasan has worked in films in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam films. The south megastar is celebrating his birthday today. Born in a Tamil Iyengar family, Kamal Haasan was initially named Parthasarthy but his father later changed it. At the age of 4, Haasan won the President's gold medal for his performance in Kalathur Kannamma and acted in five more films as a child. On  his birthday let us have a look on his love life.

Kamaal first with actress Srividya, who was two years elder to him. However, their relationship ended after which Srividya tied the knots with George Thomas who was an assistant director in Malayalam films. The duo made the headlines again in 2006 when Kamal visited Srividya in the hospital when she on her deathbed.

Kamal Haasan then fell in love with a classical dancer Vani Ganapathy in 1978. They met through a mutual friend. Reports suggest that Kamal tied the knots with Vani as she was very keen about getting married and she did not believe in the concept of a live in relationship. They were having a happy married life until Sarika in Kamal’s life.

Kamal got in a relationship with her in the year 1988. After 10 years of being in a married relationship, Kamal and Vani ended their relationship. Kamal entered into the relationship with Sarika even before legally separating from Vani and they started living together.  But because of the societal pressure, the couple tied the knot in 1988. He applied for divorce with Vani in 2002.

After this Simran Bagga came in between. Some reports even suggest that Sarika had gone into depression and she attempted suicide. Their relationship finally ended after Sarika filed a divorce in the year 2002.   Kamal and Simran first met in the early 2000s and they became well acquainted with each other in the year 2001. Their relationship ended along with the movie.

Kamal went ahead and started a live-in relationship with actress Gautami. She came into his life along with her daughter from the first husband. After they both spent more than a decade of living together, they parted their ways in 2016. Kamal Haasan is now officially single now. He has worked in several big budget and even in his 60s he is playing main lead. He is all set for his upcoming film Indian 2.

Kamal also confessed that he was losing faith in the institution of marriage at the time. “I was fast losing faith in the institution of marriage itself, at that time. I always spoke of it loudly, to the shock of people. I said it on the first day I got married that I didn’t want to,”
