Chennai: Veteran actor and Chekal Kamal Haasan of Makkal Nidhi Mayyam (MNM) party has written an open letter to PM Narendra Modi. In this letter, he has given his opinion about the possible scenario of India after the world has recovered from the coronavirus. Kamal Haasan has praised the role of the central government and the state governments in supporting the coronavirus and supporting each other.

Kamal Haasan has said that even after recovering from the coronavirus with this sentiment, work should be done in the country. He mentioned certain areas in his letter and expressed the need to focus on it. India spends more on defense sector than America. According to Kamal Haasan, India should change this situation and the government should make a provision in the budget to be prepared to deal with the epidemic-like situation.

The other aspect that Kamal Haasan has emphasized in his letter is agriculture. He said that a Green Revolution is needed back. According to Kamal Haasan, migrant laborers are returning to their villages, jobs will be reduced in cities. Therefore, big attention will be needed on agriculture. By promoting agro-based micro, small and medium industries (MSMEs), youth will be connected to this sector. Kamal also asked to bring India's informal sectors into formal status. It also said to give job status to housewives too.
