There is no shortage of publicity in the by-elections in Madhya Pradesh's 28 seats. But as the campaign is gaining momentum, the controversial statements of the leaders are coming. These days, a fair has been made of disputed statements. The words like items, concubines are being used for women and this objectionable rhetoric is happening during Navratri which is shameful. However, even after giving these statements, no action was taken nor any notice has been sent to the leaders.

Now in a conversation with a website recently, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Bhopal has said that the report has been sent to the Central Election Commission, whatever action will be taken will be from there. Talking about the statements, then in an election meeting earlier, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said, 'Our Raje (Congress candidate) is simple. He is not like him. Why should I name him?' So people said - Imarti Devi. Laughing at this, Kamal Nath said, "You guys recognize her more than me. You should have warned me already what an item it is."

Bisahulal, a minister in the BJP government, told the second wife of Congress candidate Vishwanath Singh Kunjam from Anuppur as a mistress. Before these two, BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya had called Kamal Nath and Digvijay Chunnu-Munnu in a meeting. After that, a Congress leader Sajjan Verma compared Kailash Vijayvargiya to Ravana. Apart from all these, there have been many such controversial statements which have come in the discussions.
