Kannada cinema's "power star" and celebrity television host Puneeth Rajkumar is no longer in this world. Since his death, people have been immersed in his memories, while Puneeth has set an example even after he died. Puneeth passed away due to a serious heart attack. Puneeth donated his eyes like his father. Puneeth Kumar's father and famous South actor Dr Rajkumar himself decided to donate to the eyes of his entire family in 1994 and now Puneeth also donated his eyes. Dr Rajkumar passed away on 12th April 2006 at the age of 76.

Actor Chetan Kumar Ahimsa recently said in a tweet that Puneeth Rajkumar has donated his eyes. He tweeted, "A team of doctors completed the process within six hours of his (Puneeth Rajkumar) death. When I was in the hospital to see Appu sir, the doctor's group came to remove his eyes within 6 hours of his death. Just as Dr Rajkumar and @ Nimma Shivanna donated their eyes, so did Appu sir.'' Actor Chetan tweeted urging everyone to donate eyes and wrote, "Following in his footsteps and in memory of Appu sir."
Talking about Puneet, he was a fitness actor and his demise surprised everyone. According to the information received, Puneeth Rajkumar complained of chest pain after two hours of exercise in the gym, after which he was taken to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru, treated by doctors. However, he died shortly thereafter. He survives his wife Ashwini Rewant and two daughters Dhriti and Vandita. According to the information received, the mortal remains of the actor will be cremated on October 31, Sunday.
