Kanpur: Three FIRs have been lodged in connection with Friday's violence in Kanpur's Baconganj. It is being told that two of these FIRs have been lodged by the police, while the third FIR has been lodged on behalf of the victim of assault and vandalism. In fact, 40 people have been named as accused in the FIR. Along with this, 1000 unidentified people have also been made accused. 35 people have been arrested in the case so far.

It is being said that action will be taken against these accused under the Gangster Act and their properties will be confiscated and the bulldozer will also run. In this case, police commissioner Anand Prakash Tiwari informed and said, "13 police personnel have also been injured in Kanpur violence and 30 people from both sides were also injured in the violence. Many cars were also vandalised. There was also looting in many shops. Police have registered an FIR under various sections including robbery, assault, and extortion. He further said that 35 miscreants have been arrested so far after identification through CCTV and video footage. Apart from this, he has also informed that police officers are making rounds in the area in vehicles while DM Neha Sharma, Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena, Divisional Commissioner Rajshekhar are patrolling the area on foot and instilling confidence in the people for security. The Begumganj Yetimkhana New Road area of the area has been converted into a cantonment by the police. 

According to ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar, the incident has been taken very seriously by the government. Understanding the seriousness of the incident, an additional police force has also been deployed, which includes 12 companies and one platoon PAC. Apart from this, all the DSPs, Police Commissioners, DMs and Divisional Commissioners Rajasekhar are camping at the Yatimkhana police outpost. Those who have also committed nuisance are being identified.

ADG Law and Order said that instructions have been given to Kanpur officials that round the clock should be the duty of the police administration and peace and order should be maintained in all circumstances. The Uttar Pradesh government and the police will not allow peace and order to be disturbed under any circumstances.

On the other hand, Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena said, "The police have got enough video footage. Through this, the rioters have been identified. An FIR has been lodged against all of them. Action will be taken against all the rioters under the Gangsters Act. With this, their property will be confiscated and bulldozers will also run on their houses. Appeal to the local people to maintain peace and order. Cooperate with the administration, and help us identify the miscreants.''
