Kanpur: Many types of incidents are happening in Uttar Pradesh. More than half of the four-storey house collapsed in Hatia Bartan Market of Moolganj police station area, in which the mother-daughter died. CO Kotwali Rajesh Kumar Pandey has confirmed this news.

Late night police, fire brigade, army along with municipal corporation were also engaged in relief rescue work. The SDRF team of 22 members has also left from Lucknow. Police and Administration officials including DM, DIG are also present. 50-year-old Meena Gupta lived on the third floor with her family in Hatia Utensil Market. Their twenty-year-old daughter Preeti, and two sons Rinku and Rahul also lived together. Her husband Ram Shankar has died.

The family of Ram Shankar's brother Ganesh Shankar and Prem Shankar also lives in this house. Due to the maximum rainfall, the house started to crack at around 9:30 pm on Thursday night. All the people present in the house ran out, but Meena and Preity stayed in it. By then more than half of the house collapsed. Mother and daughter were buried in the rubble. Police, fire brigade, teams of Municipal Corporation started relief and rescue operations. DM Dr. Brahmadev Ram Tiwari, DIG Dr. Preetinder Singh and other officers arrived. The case is now being investigated.
