Kanwar Yatra: Delhi Traffic Police Issues Road Advisory Amid Increased Pilgrim Movement

The Delhi Traffic Police has released an revised advisory for commuters due to the ongoing Kanwar Yatra. Pilgrims traveling from Noida to Delhi are expected to pass through the Kalindi Kunj border, leading to significant traffic changes. Additionally, the NH-58 Dehradun-Delhi highway will remain closed from July 29 to August 2 to accommodate the surge in Kanwariyas. Both sides of the highway are reserved exclusively for the pilgrimage.

Traffic Diversion Points

Kalindi Kunj: Vehicles entering Delhi from Noida via the Kalindi Kunj Yamuna Bridge should turn right onto Road No. 13-A, then proceed to Sarita Vihar Flyover and beyond. Access to Agra Canal Road will also be restricted.

Sarita Vihar Flyover: Vehicles heading towards Noida will be rerouted from Road No. 13-A to ease congestion on the Kalindi Kunj Yamuna Bridge.

Alternative Routes

From Noida: Take the Noida Expressway to DND, Ashram Chowk, and Mathura Road.

To Noida: Vehicles from Sarita Vihar Flyover and Okhla should use Apollo Red Light, Mathura Road, Ashram Chowk, and DND.

Additional Traffic Information

In Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be closed to heavy vehicles until 8 pm on August 5. From July 29, this restriction will extend to all vehicles, including private cars, traveling between Delhi and Meerut.
