New Delhi: Congress leader Kapil Sibal has made a big statement on Sunday after Sachin Pilot's rebellion amid political uproar in Rajasthan. He has demanded a change in the anti-defection law to ban all public representatives who have been brought up for 5 years and hold a government post and contest the next election.

Kapil Sibal, a lawyer by profession, also said that antibodies against the virus of corrupt methods are inherent in the change of the Tenth Schedule (anti-defection law) of the Constitution to get elected governments out of power. Sibal's statement came in view of Pilot's open rebellion against the Ashok Gehlot government. Pilot has been removed from the post of deputy CM of Rajasthan and chairman of the state Congress unit this week.

The Congress has accused the BJP of conspiring to topple the Gehlot government by indulging in horse-trading. Attacking the BJP, Sibal said, "There is a need for vaccines: the virus of 'corrupt methods' to topple elected governments has spread through 'Wuhan-like centers' in Delhi."
