Protests are being held against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi. Kapil Bainsla, the young man who shot near this demonstration, has reportedly been a fan of 'Behenji'. In 2017, he strongly promoted the BSP through social media. Intelligence agency report states that accused Kapil had posted several posts on his Facebook page regarding the UP assembly elections. All these posts were in support of BSP supremo Mayawati and her party. Most of the posts were put up during January and February-2017. Kapil's Facebook account was closed in June 2017.

For your information, let us tell you that near the ongoing protests in Shaheen Bagh at five o'clock on Friday evening, a young man fired an aerial fire from his native pistol. Police say that the accused youth had fired two. Two bullet kiosks have been recovered from the spot. Since there was a police barricade, the accused was immediately arrested. The police have registered a case and started questioning the accused youth. The accused has named his name Kapil Bainsla. He is a resident of Dallupura area near Noida.

Even after being caught by the police after firing, he kept shouting slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'. When the young man was asked why he had fired, he said that what is happening in our country. The road has been closed for so many days, but nobody is doing anything. The young man called his name Kapil Gurjar and said, "Our country is a Hindu nationalist zone."
