Karan Johar has broken many stereotypes by becoming a father of two through surrogacy. However, everyone is quite surprised with this news though Karan already had mentioned it in his book, "I have been thinking about having a child. It will, of course, have to be a surrogate child, or I will have to adopt. These are the two options I have in front of me." 

Karan on the Twitter post, "I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children, and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science." 

A family friend of Karan said, "They are in NICU and likely to be there for a couple of weeks or more," as the babies were born around two months premature and weighed around 1.5 kg each. 

Yesterday, Shah Rukh Khan, who walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra at the Mijwan charity fashion show in the evening, was asked about the twins. 

To which, he responded, “We wish him happiness. But it’s still very personal. So, don’t think that I am being cagey by not answering it. I have had this moment in my life so I know how personal it is. So, let’s respect it and leave it to that. We will have love, celebrations, happiness and health later."
