According to the reports, the audience also compared the movie with the Hollywood film Sex and the City. During an interview with the leading daily actress Kareena Kapoor Khan cleared her fans that this movie is none of these.
Kareena also said that the movie is not a typical chick flick with costumes and loaded songs. Veere Di Wedding got a soul and is about four girls coming together. While talking Rhea's name Kareena said that the reason Rhea didn’t want to call it a chick flick is because of the story. It isn’t anything close to Sex and The City, reports Pinkvilla.
Talking about the cuss words the four ladies have used in VDW, Kareena said that this is how normal people and girls talk nowadays, its nothing new. Regarding the film, She said that Veere stands for her bro or friend’s wedding. Everyone has their moment in their loved one's wedding. This is a story about four friends where the first one is tying the knot, the second one is going through a divorce, the other is commitment phobic and the fourth one is married but is facing issues. So, it’s about four women in different stages of love.
