Karishma Tanna is now pursuing her ambition of being an actress. She patiently awaited this triumph for ten long years, and she says it was well worth the wait. Nobody anticipated that Tanna would be able to embody Jagruti Pathan's role so well that she would make it her own in the film Scoop, which has completely changed the course of her career. In the same interview, the actress disclosed that Hansal was nearly advised not to cast her because of her glamorous diva image and that no one has ever seen her acting abilities. However, Hansal didn't say anything and is thankful to the producers for trusting in her. Karishma was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise. Tanna explains, "Hansal Mehta didn't approach me, but Mukesh Chhabra called for me for this role, and he auditioned me. That's how I got Scoop." She also reveals that Hansal Mehta didn't ask her for the role. I found out it was Hansal Mehta's programme after I had applied, and I was desperate to work with him. I had texted him during Scam (Scam 1992-Harshad Mehta Story),"Sir, I want to work with you," and he messaged me, "Of course, something in the future. And cut to: I am auditioning for him, then I get a call from the team that I am shortlisted for this, and I am so happy; I am almost numb; the excitement was at its peak; I really want to do something like this."

She really is the one who was picked. With all the glowing reviews for her show Scoop, which is based on the true story of Jigna Vohra, a crime reporter who was accused and tried for conspiring with J Dey, a renowned crime reporter who was allegedly murdered by gangster Chota Rajan, Karishma is overjoyed and on cloud nine.
