Bangalore: The next CM of Karnataka will be Siddaramaiah, while DK Shivakumar will hold the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Sources say that only after the intervention of Sonia Gandhi, DK Shivakumar has agreed to become the Deputy CM of Karnataka. According to party sources, DK Shivakumar has agreed to become the deputy CM after talking to Sonia Gandhi on the phone. Before talking to Sonia Gandhi, Shivkumar was adamant on becoming CM. If sources are to be believed, the official announcement of the names of CM and Deputy CM in Karnataka can be done today. Let us tell you that DK Shivakumar is believed to have played an important role behind the victory in the Karnataka elections. Most of the MLAs who came after winning the elections are also in his support. Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar held meetings with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary KC Venugopal on Wednesday.

Sources have claimed that Sonia Gandhi called DK Shivkumar on Wednesday evening.
