Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP veteran leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Gasti passed away in Bengaluru on Thursday. His coronavirus report came positive after which he was admitted to the hospital on September 2. The BJP leader Ashok Gasti, who served as the Chairman of the Karnataka Backward Classes Commission, was sworn in as Rajya Sabha MP on July 22 this year.
The credit for the BJP's organization and empowerment in Raichur district of Karnataka is given to the Gasti. It was 18 years ago when he joined the BJP and he was also the president of the youth front of Karnataka BJP.
