BANGALORE: The Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka is all set to take out a 'Rath Yatra' in the state after the budget session ahead of Assembly polls. The Yatra would be taken out from 4 directions in Karnataka to reach out to the people.

On Monday late at night, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the details had not yet been decided. The two-day National Executive Committee meeting is being attended by CM Bommai.

He also said that many political determinations were being taken in the meeting. The information right from the booth level to the party organisation had been provided.

The party's veteran B.S. Yediyurappa's son, B.Y. Vijayendra, is expected to be the subject of a decision from the high leadership. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Hubballi to launch the National Youth Festival, the party had snubbed him.

Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, a BJP lawmaker from Vijayapura, has criticised the BJP-led government in Karnataka for giving Panchamasali subsect OBC quota reservation. He had also salmmed the cabinet and CM Bommai. The religious seer had forewarned that the Panchamasali community would support Yatnal if the BJP expelled the MLA.

Chief Minister Bommai is in a fix over the matter.  He insisted that the high leadership had been made aware of the situation and that a decision would be made in this regard following the national executive.

On the basis of a Hindutva agenda and in the name of Prime Minister Modi, the saffron party is sincerely making every effort to regain control of the state.
