Bengaluru: CM HD Kumaraswamy is returning from the US on Sunday amid an ongoing political drama in Karnataka. He will arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at around 2:30 p.m. from the United States. He will then leave for Bengaluru. Quoting sources, CM Kumaraswamy has discussed the threat looming over the government over phone calls from CASE Venugopal and Siddaramaiah.

It is also being said that the congress is making effort to persuade the angry MLAs of Karnataka. He is considering the resignation of the sitting ministers to give him the post of minister. A total of 12 MLAs of Congress and JDS have resigned in Karnataka. Out of these, 11 MLAs have reached Mumbai and are staying in a hotel. These 11 MLAs have been accommodated at Hotel Sofitel at BKC in Mumbai. The rooms of all these MLAs are booked till July 10.

Speaker Ramesh Kumar will examine the resignations of MLAs on Tuesday. Late in the night, Casey has also met Venugopal, Ramlinga Reddy. Reddy is adamant on his resignation and is accusing him of being ignored. In Bengaluru, a series of meetings for damage control are going on. Youth Congress workers will also perform at the Congress office. All angry MLAs are demanding withdrawal of their resignations.
