New Delhi: Karnataka Congress MLA Ramesh Kumar, who made headlines for his remarks on rape in the Assembly last year, has once again created a political uproar after his remarks on the Nehru-Gandhi family. Kumar claimed that Congress leaders have made a lot of money in the name of the Gandhi family. MLA Ramesh Kumar has said that we have made a lot of money in the name of Nehru and Gandhi. Many Congress leaders have made enough money for their 3 to 4 generations in the name of Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

He further said "Even if we can't sacrifice so much for the Congress and Sonia Gandhi, it won't be good for us.'' The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi for questioning on Thursday (July 21, 2022). Congress party leaders and workers protested across the country. The Congress MLA from Srinivaspur made the remarks at a time when the Congress was creating a ruckus on the streets in support of Sonia Gandhi. Let us know that Sonia Gandhi appeared before the investigating agency in Delhi on Thursday. The probe relates to alleged financial irregularities in Congress-promoted Young Indian Private Limited (YIL), which owns the National Herald newspaper.
