Bangalore: The Karnataka Congress on Monday requested the Supreme Court to take audio records of CM BS Yeddyurappa on record in the case of disqualification of 17 MLAs of the state. In which, he is allegedly telling his party's leaders to the rebels by referring to rebel MLAs. The bench headed by Justice NV Raman said that it would talk to Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi about the formation of the bench to consider the fresh material presented by the Karnataka Congress.

Yeddyurappa's alleged audio clip came to light on Friday, expressing resentment against party leaders who disqualified the Congress-JD (S) MLAs for the by-elections in 15 assembly constituencies on December 5. They were protesting against being given tickets. This is of a party meeting in Audi's Clip Hubli. In the above auditions, Yeddyurappa is reportedly saying that rebel MLAs were kept in Mumbai under the supervision of BJP President Amit Shah during the last days of the coalition government. The by-elections will be held on December 5 on 15 of the 17 MLAs who were disqualified.

The Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JD (S) coalition government collapsed due to the resignation of these MLAs and the absence of the House during the trust vote. After this, the BJP formed a government under the leadership of Yeddyurappa. Amidst opposition from local party leaders in these 15 constituencies, Yeddyurappa had recently assured that the disqualified MLAs would be given tickets if they wanted to contest on a BJP ticket.
