Bengaluru: The Karnataka government intends to crack down on Bangladeshi immigrants who labor in the state, citing worries that they constitute a threat to the country's internal security, according to Home Minister Araga Jnanendra. Police are conducting a survey to track out such unlawful immigrants, according to the Minister.

He said that authorities have knowledge on their presence in many parts of the state, including as laborers in coffee farms in the Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts. He said "Special measures and preparations are underway to trace them down and apprehend them." He said,t after sneaking into India, Bangladeshi immigrants are able to obtain ration cards, voter ID cards, and Aadhaar cards in Assam and West Bengal. It's a huge racket, and it's time to take action against this network. "It is a threat to the security of our country," the Minister stated.

Jnanendra also stated that cyber crime cases have increased dramatically in recent years in the state, and that police are in contact with bank executives to solve the problem. The state governments of Karnataka and Gujarat have signed an agreement to educate state workers to combat cybercrime.
