Bengaluru: The Karnataka government announced a partnership with Sattva Consulting, Bengaluru's leading social impact research and advisory firm, on Tuesday to streamline Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding in the state. The state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company through the Department of Planning, Program Monitoring, and Statistics. For maximum impact, the MoU aims to raise the visibility of CSR funding opportunities in the state. It also aspires to use CSR data to make evidence-based decisions in order to meet the state's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The agreement was signed in the presence of Minister of Planning N Munirathna, Additional Chief Secretary Dr Shalini Rajneesh (IAS), and Srikrishna Sridhar Murthy, Sattva's Co-founder and CEO. The event at Vikasa Soudha was also attended by officers from the Department of Planning and representatives from Sattva Consulting.

"Karnataka is the second-highest recipient of CSR funds in the country, ranking third in the SDG Index 20-21. As a state, we're in a good place, and we're looking forward to doing even better with this new focus on collaboration with our corporate partners.  We hope to see CSR reach all of the state's districts, and we're happy to help with that through our administrative machinery," Muniratna said at the event.
