Bangalore: An Indigo plane tyre burst while landing at an airport in Hubli, Karnataka. However, all passengers and crew members are safe. Officials have reported this on Tuesday. IndiGo Airlines reported in a statement that "A plane from Kannur to Hubli of Indigo ATR burst its tyre when it reached Hubli on Monday. All passengers and crew members are safe. The maintenance of the plane is being carried out in Hubli.''
According to information provided by an airport official, the plane tried to land at 8.30pm on Monday, but did not land at the airport due to strong wind in the opposite direction. The plane then landed at the airport at 8.35 pm. ''Perhaps the tyre of the aircraft burst due to difficult landing and strong wind in the opposite direction,'' the official said.
The official further said that all the passengers got off the plane on their own and the runway was ready for flight at 2 pm. He said, "Aircraft operations are now normal. Air Traffic Control (ATC) was informed about the incident.''
