Bengaluru: Seven thousand security personnel have been deployed to handle security arrangements in Bangalore on Tuesday night on New Year's Eve. All the additional security personnel will be seen standing on the streets of this city, for the protection of common citizens. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao said in a statement on Monday that, "As many as 7,000 police personnel are deployed across the city to ensure security in a peaceful manner on New Year's Eve, Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning."

In addition to the deployment of a heavy police force, citywide will be monitored with the help of CCTV and drones. Especially M.G. Road and Brigade Road will be monitored so that people can celebrate New Year as well as celebrate peacefully on New Year's Eve. Rao said, "Traffic will be controlled to avoid the jam and ensure better movement of vehicles.

Parking of all vehicles, including two-wheelers, will be banned on the main roads of the middle of the city from eight o'clock on the 31st of December to the 31st of December. Vehicles will not be able to use flyovers across the city from 9 am to 6 am Wednesday.
