Bangalore: A mahant of the Lingayat Math has made a big prediction about Congress Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi, who arrived at Karnataka, saying that he will become the prime minister of the country. However, soon after this, the chief mahant of the monastery had to intervene. He said that this is not the right place to say all this. In fact, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi had visited Karnataka. During this time, Rahul along with party leaders DK Shivakumar and KC Venugopal reached Sri Murugha Math in Chitradurga.

Here Rahul took the initiation of the Lingayat sect from the Mahant of the Muruga Math. At the same time, Mahant Haveri Hosamutta Swami said, "Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister.'' Hosamutta Swami also named Rahul's grandmother and father. He said "Indira Gandhiji was the Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi also held this post and now Rahul Gandhi has been given initiation into the Lingayat sect, he will also become the Prime Minister.'' Following this statement of Hosamutta Swami, the head of the monastery, Shivamurthy Murugh Sharanaru, immediately intervened.

He further said "All those who come to the monastery are blessed.'' He told the saint, "Don't say all this here, this is not the right platform for it. It will be decided by the people. Several Congress leaders were also present on the occasion. After consulting the Mahants of various monasteries, The Mahant of Muruga Mutt, Shivamurthy Muruga Sharan, gave Rahul Gandhi the initiation of the Lingayat sect. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi also expressed his desire to learn Shiva Yoga in front of the saint.
