New Helpline Launched for Victims in Karnataka Sex Tape Case - In a bid to support victims of alleged sexual harassment, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) handling the case involving Hassan JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna has introduced a helpline. Victims can now reach out to the team at 6360938947, as stated by SIT chief and Additional Director General of Police B K Singh.

Singh assured that victims need not visit the SIT office personally, as the team will reach out to provide assistance directly.

Additionally, the SIT cautioned against sharing any videos depicting the alleged sexual assaults on social media or messaging platforms. Singh emphasized that sharing such content could lead to legal consequences as it tarnishes the reputation and dignity of the victims.

Prajwal, who is seeking re-election from Hassan with the JD(S)-BJP alliance, left the country on April 27, a day after polling. A blue corner notice has been issued against him. Despite facing allegations of rape and molestation, Prajwal's father, MLA H D Revanna, has been taken into police custody for allegedly kidnapping a woman involved in the case.

The incident has sparked widespread concern and condemnation, with many expressing outrage over the alleged crimes. The collaboration between political parties in the constituency has also come under scrutiny in light of these allegations. As investigations continue and legal proceedings unfold, there is a growing call for accountability and justice to be served for the victims.
