Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has announced to send an invitation to former PM Singh at the inauguration ceremony of this corridor. During this, he did not say anything on the question of invitation to PM Narendra Modi.

However, the Congress has indicated that former PM Manmohan Singh will not accept the invitation for the inauguration of this corridor. Foreign Ministry sources say the corridor is inaugurated in November. Pakistan has not officially said anything regarding the ceremony related to it. Through the invitation to former PM Singh, Pakistan has tried to create controversy without reason.
