On Monday too, the NIA raided five different places including the Kashmir Valley house of suspended DSP Davinder Singh of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Several important documents and other objectionable materials have been seized during this period. The NIA team is taking action on the basis of clues found during the interrogation of Devinder and other terrorists, including Naveed Baba, arrested with him. The 20-member team of NIA has reached Srinagar on Saturday itself.
According to media reports, the first was raided at his home in Davinder Singh's ancestral village in Tral in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. Apart from this, raided the house of Farooq Ahmad Tap, located in the Druggad area of Shopian in South Kashmir, which is being told that he is OGW. Omar Dobhi's house in Pinjora in the district was also raided. Omar has been active with terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen since 2018.
The NIA teams also took action in two different places in the Kupwara district. During this period, 5 passbooks, 2 mobile phones, 2 SIM cards, 2 pen drives, and a laptop have been seized from the house of Javed Ahmed Dar at Jagrapura. Some important documents and other objectionable material have also been recovered in the action taken elsewhere. On January 11, DSP Davinder Singh was caught while taking Hizbul commander Navid Baba out of the valley. He was accompanied by two other terrorists Rafi Ahmed Rather and Irfan Shafi Mir. Rafi is an active terrorist and Irfan OGW. Both claimed to be lawyers during the arrest.
