A controversial statement has come out from the state of Goa regarding BR Ambedkar. This controversial comment has been made by Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar. He said that Dr. BR Ambedkar wanted to make the country a 'Dalitstan' for Dalits, but the people of India remained united.
According to media reports, Ajgaonkar said this in the Goa Assembly on Monday during a motion of thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for getting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed in Parliament. Addressing the House, he said that during partition, Muslims went to the other side and Pakistan became a Muslim nation, but Hindustan did not become a Hindu nation.

Regarding the matter, BJP MLA Ajgaonkar from the Pernem area said that some people talk about Hindu Rashtra. Hindus include all communities, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, Dalit. Babasaheb Ambedkar had said that there will be a separate Dalitstan for Dalits, but even today we are all together. He said that if this country is great then everyone's contribution in it.
