Ashok Kaul said that in June 1990, he left Kashmir with his three brothers and two sisters and left for Uttarakhand, after which his contact with Kashmir was completely broken by June 2006. Ashoka explains that his brother and sister live in different cities of the state, but in 2006, his childhood friend Ali Beg reached Dehradun to find him. He then went to his native village Adora. Ashoka says, in Dehradun, he married Rita, who hails from Uttarakhand, and when he accompanied his wife to her native village in 2006, the villagers welcomed them.
