Veteran iconic actor Shashi Kapoor passed away on 4th December. The veteran actor was 79 years-old and had been suffering from chest infection. "Shashi Kapoor expired around 5.20 p.m. on December 4 at Kokilaben Hospital," Bollywood condoled the death of a tremendous actor and an even better human being. Everybody from Mega star Amitabh Bachchan to Mr. Perfection Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra wrote heartfelt notes to condole the passing away of Bollywood’s original superstar. Katrina Kaif too posted a touching message to mourn the death of Shashi Kapoor. She wrote on her social media account, “Immortalising an era of classic cinema, a legend leaves us with precious memories. Shashiji was and will always be an icon for all of us and generations to come. His impactful contribution to cinema will be cherished forever #RIPShashiKapoor”
Katrina Kaif had attended a Christmas lunch at Shashi Kapoor’s residence cuple of year before when she was dating with Ranbir Kapoor who is grandson of late Shashi Kapoor. She and Ranbir Kapoor had made a joint entry at the annual Christmas lunch- a tradition that was started by Shashi Kapoor’s wife Jennifer Kendal.
Yesterday, the entire Kapoor clan along with industry stalwarts had visited Shashi Kapoor’s house to meet his children. Karisma Kapoor, Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji were spotted at Shashi Kapoor’s house. Today, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan with son Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor attended the funeral.
