Riddhi Sen, who admires a lot of the characters his father Kaushik Sen has played in films and on stage alike, feels that his father has been a pillar of strength in his life helping him overcome a torrid time. “I went through a lot of turmoil when I was in class eight and my father helped me come out of it. Baba wants nothing from me but that I should become a good human being. His sensibilities, looks, attitude toward life, intellect -all of it put together make him daddy cool! He has an aura that makes my friends -especially girls -drool over him.

Suppose I am chatting with a girl in my room, the way he will knock and make a face will make you laugh out loud! Almost as if he hadn't seen anyone and was sorry to disturb! From my childhood he has told me that my own knowledge should help me distinguish between right and wrong as he didn't want to impose his decisions on me. What more can one want from a dad?” says an elated Riddhi. True to his words, what more can a father expect from a son! Kaushik Sen finds a Riddhi Sen in his son, an able carrier of his legacy who won his first National award for his exceptional performance as a transgender in Kaushik Ganguly’s ‘Nagarkirtan’ at the age of 19.

Many Tolly celebs have been active on social media in this hour of crisis. Some of them have decided to get on the ground and do their bit. Riddhi is one of them. He along with Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Anupam Roy, Piya Chakraborty, Anusha Viswanathan, Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Rwitobroto Mukherjee and others, have joined hands to help COVID patients in a meaningful way. They started running a relief home to help those in real need.
