Actress Kavita Chaudhary, known for her role in the popular TV series 'Udaan,' has passed away due to a heart attack. Chaudhary gained immense popularity by portraying the role of IPS officer Kalyani Singh in the widely acclaimed series 'Udaan' on Doordarshan. The cause of Kavita Chaudhary's death is reported to be a heart attack. She was 67 years old. Fans are devastated by the news of the actress's demise and are paying tribute to her on social media.

The news of Kavita Chaudhary's death was confirmed by actor Anang Desai, who was her batchmate at the National School of Drama, to ABP News. Furthermore, Chaudhary's nephew, Ajay Sayal, informed ABP News that Kavita Chaudhary had been admitted to Parvati Devi Hospital in Amritsar for the past three to four days, where she was undergoing treatment. She breathed her last at 8:30 pm last night at the hospital in Amritsar.

Kavita Chaudhary's last rites will take place in Amritsar. It is worth mentioning that Kavita Chaudhary had been battling cancer for the past few years, and her treatment had been ongoing for a long time. Ajay Sayal also provided this information, stating that Kavita Chaudhary's last rites would be performed in Amritsar.

Kavita Chaudhary gained recognition from her role in 'Udaan.' The show aired in 1989, and Chaudhary played the role of IPS officer Kalyani Singh. She also wrote and directed the show. The series was based on the life of her sister, Kanchan Chaudhary Bhattacharya, who became the second IPS officer after Kiran Bedi.

At that time, Kavita became an example of women's empowerment through her show 'Udaan' because there was not much representation of female IPS officers in films and television. Later in her career, Kavita Chaudhary produced shows like 'Your Honor' and 'IPS Diaries.'

She also gained popularity from her role in iconic Surf advertisements in the 1980s and 1990s, where she portrayed the character of Lalitaji. In the ads, she portrayed a wise housewife who always made the right choices while spending money. Talking about her characters in the ads, she told The Quint, "Lalitaji was a non-sense character, which was not my personality, but I just felt I could understand its tone. She trusted the actor's understanding."
