New Delhi:- Kawasaki has launched the 2024 version of the Z900RS in India with a list price of Rs. 16.8 lakh (former showroom). It competes in our classic seaside inspired liter segment.

In terms of price, it rivals Triumph Motorcycles' iconic Speed ​​Twin 1200.

Kawasaki introduced the Z900RS as a neoclassical cafe racer at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2017. The motorcycle takes its design inspiration from the legendary Z1 model. It is considered by reviewers and customers to be a beginner-friendly liter product.

However, to claim the top spot in the segment, it had to beat the defending champion, the Triumph Speed ​​Twin 1200.

The Kawasaki Z900RS features a 17-liter teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round LED headlights with chrome rims, wide handlebars, round rearview mirrors, reverse-swipe exhaust pipes, ribbed saddles and slender LED taillights.

Triumph Speed ​​Twin 1200 sports a sculpted 14.5-liter fuel tank, black painted circular LED headlights, stainless steel twin exhaust pipes, wide handlebars, bar-shaped rearview mirrors, stylish LED taillights and semi-digital dashboard. In terms of safety features, the Kawasaki Z900RS and Triumph Speed ​​Twin 1200 both come with disc brakes at the front and rear wheels, as well as a two-channel ABS system, traction control system, drum brakes, brake system, an electrically controlled throttle and driving modes.

Suspension duties are handled by inverted forks at the front of both bikes. The former has a single rear shock absorber, while the latter has a dual rear shock absorber.

The Kawasaki Z900RS has a seat height of 835mm, a wheelbase of 1,470mm and a weight of 215kg. For comparison, the Triumph Speed ​​Twin 1200 has a seat height of 809mm, a wheelbase of 1,413mm and weighs 216kg.

Kawasaki Z900RS is equipped with a 948cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled in-line 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum capacity of 109PS at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 98.5Nm at 6,500 rpm.

The Triumph Speed ​​Twin 1200 is powered by a liquid-cooled 1200cc parallel-twin engine that produces a maximum power of 98.6PS at 7250rpm and a peak torque of 112Nm at 4250rpm. Both cars have a 6-speed manual transmission. In India, the Kawasaki Z900RS 2024 can be yours for Rs 16.8 million. On the other hand, Triumph Speed​​Twin 1200 2023 will cost you Rs 11.09 (all prices, ex showroom).

In our opinion, the Z900RS makes more sense for us, with its attractive vintage-inspired design, modern safety features, powerful inline four-cylinder engine and more. as well as overall brand value and better reach.

Both motorcycles look good, but Kawasaki makes their motorcycles sportier and also gives the impression that adrenaline is running high, but Triumph is not simple or just cool but also a sports bike. 

If you are looking a bike towards the budget, then you should surely go with the Triumph Speed 1200 but then if you are a sports bike lover and also like ruling the roads wherever you go then you should go with the Kawasaki Z900RS as it makes the road presence more towards yourself and also will make you feel superior.
