Hyderabad: At present, Chief Minister KCR has kept an eye on MLC nomination to see the status of vacancies in the Legislative Council. According to the information received, the assembly meeting will begin on the 7th of next month. However, before this, the cabinet meeting will be held and the CM is considering to select the candidate.

According to sources, it has been said about the clarity of the list in the cabinet meeting. Apart from this, it is also expected to be sent for the approval of the Governor. Many leaders are seen putting a lot of efforts from their side. The Governor can nominate three MLCs at a time. Four posts of MLC in the Legislative Council are vacant.

On the other hand, after the election schedule of Nizamabad local institutional quota was announced, former MP Kavita has nominated for the candidate on behalf of TRS. Due to the pandemic, the Election Commission postponed the election. The Governor nominates six candidates in the Legislative Council. Three posts are vacant at this time. Ramulu Nayak joined the Congress in the year 2018 after being nominated as a member of the Legislative Council last time.
