Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao left for Delhi on Monday, following a meeting with political strategist Prashant Kishor and ongoing efforts to bring together different parties against the BJP's alleged anti-people policies.

An official release stated that Rao had left for a visit to Delhi. It did not, however, provide any additional information. During his visit to the national capital, Rao is expected to meet with leaders of similar parties. On Tuesday, the TRS chief is expected to meet with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He is also expected to contact the leaders of other national parties.

Rao's visit follows a meeting with Kishor here in the last few days, as well as meetings with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar in Mumbai.

Rao, who has been critical of the BJP and the Centre on a number of issues, has stated that he will meet with his counterparts in Maharashtra and West Bengal as part of efforts to unite various political parties against the BJP and the NDA government.

Rao stated at a public meeting in Siddipet district on February 23 that he is moving toward influencing national politics and that he will use all of his abilities to set things right in the country, "even if it means shedding the last drop of blood."
