Hyderabad: In the run-up to the Telangana Assembly elections, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has filed nominations from Gajwel and Kamareddy seats. An affidavit submitted to the Election Commission reveals intriguing details about the influential political figure.

KCR: From Gold Donations to Farmer and Affidavit Disclosures

KCR, known for his high-profile gold donations to temples, surprises with revelations in his affidavit. Despite lavish gold contributions, he claims not to own a car and identifies himself as a farmer. The affidavit discloses his BA pass educational qualification and mentions nine pending cases related to the Telangana statehood movement.

With the assembly elections scheduled for November 30, political contenders, including BRS, Congress, and BJP, vie for victory. The election affidavit showcases KCR's assets, liabilities, and personal details, setting the stage for a closely watched electoral contest.

Assets and Liabilities: KCR declares movable assets exceeding Rs 17.83 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 8.50 crore. Notably, he does not own a car, and his total liability surpasses Rs 17 crore.

Income and Family Details: The income tax return reveals KCR's total income as of March 31, 2023, to be over Rs 1.60 crore. His wife Shobha's income stands at more than Rs 8.68 lakh. The total income of his Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) is over Rs 34 lakh, with agricultural income exceeding Rs 1.44 crore.

Criminal Record and Family Vehicles: KCR asserts no criminal convictions and mentions no vehicle registered in his name. However, family members own several vehicles, including a tractor.

KT Rama Rao's Nomination: Affirming Wealth and Liabilities

KCR's son and BRS working president, KT Rama Rao, also files nomination, disclosing total movable assets worth Rs 6.92 crore. His wife's assets amount to Rs 26.4 crore, with a daughter possessing assets worth Rs 1.43 crore. Rama Rao's total annual income for the financial year 2022-23 is Rs 11.6 lakh.
