New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday greeted newly appointed Lieutenant-Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena with a "warm welcome" and assured him of his government's "full cooperation." The Chief Minister took to Twitter to say, "I send a cordial welcome to our new LG, Vinai Kumar Saxena ji, on behalf of the people of Delhi. I guarantee him of my government's full support for the wellbeing of the people of Delhi." Kejriwal also expressed his best wishes to Anil Baijal, Saxena's predecessor and previous Delhi LG, who resigned last week.
"We accomplished a lot in Delhi with former LG Anil Baijal ji and attempted to fix a number of issues. He is a wonderful person. I wish him the best of luck in the future and pray for his health and longevity "he said.
Saxena is a pilot who graduated from Kanpur University in 1981 and comes from a well-educated and well-known Kayastha family in Uttar Pradesh.
