New Delhi: The petition of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who reached the High Court against 9 summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the liquor scam, was heard on Wednesday. However, the court has postponed the hearing for a month without giving them any immediate relief. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether Kejriwal will appear before the investigating agency on Thursday or not. ED has sent him the ninth summons asking him to appear on March 21.
Reports say that the petition of the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party was also heard before the bench of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Manoj Jain. Delhi High Court sought response from the Enforcement Directorate on the petition of CM Arvind Kejriwal. ED has said that the petition is not worthy of hearing and a reply is going to be filed in this regard. The court has said that the next hearing of this case is now going to be held on 22 April 2024. However, the court has neither put a stay on ED's summons nor has given many orders regarding Kejriwal.
