Raipur: Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has put forward a commitment on Saturday to offer 300 units of electricity at no cost and round-the-clock power supply to both urban and rural areas throughout Chhattisgarh. This proposition is contingent upon his party securing a victory in the impending state Assembly elections set to transpire later this year.
Speaking at a public gathering in Raipur, the AAP national convener proclaimed, "Our commitment encompasses the provision of up to 300 units of electricity every month in Chhattisgarh."
In parallel, Kejriwal vehemently criticized the existing state administration (Congress) for the deplorable state of government schools in Chhattisgarh. He expressed, "I came across a report that paints a distressing picture of government schools in Chhattisgarh. Numerous schools, once accommodating ten grades, have been shuttered, leaving only one teacher in charge."
The Chief Minister of Delhi further elaborated, "Observe the contrast with the state of government schools in Delhi, or inquire with your acquaintances residing there. We are pioneering a government that is undertaking substantial initiatives for the education sector, unlike anything seen since India's independence. Our motivation is not driven by political ambitions; we are ordinary citizens, just like you."
Kejriwal's presence was accompanied by the participation of Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab. Notably, five states, namely Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram, are poised to conduct elections by the culmination of this year.
