Goa: Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been making a slew of promises to the people of Goa in an attempt to dent the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition Congress's prospects in the upcoming Goa Assembly Elections. On a two-day visit to Goa that began on Sunday, Kejriwal promised to improve the state's government schools, build Mohalla clinics, and provide free electricity to domestic consumers for up to a certain number of units.

Residents of Mauxi village in the Poriem Assembly constituency heard the AAP national convenor tell them that if his party is elected to power in the next state elections, it will change the face of education in the area.

"We have improved the conditions of government schools in Delhi to the point where private school students attend." Kejriwal promised Mauxi villagers, "We'll build such schools in every village in Goa." "Like Delhi, every village in Goa will have a mohalla clinic with free medicines, tests, consultations, and electricity." "Employment will take time; in the meantime, a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3000 will be provided," the AAP leader promised, reiterating his previous statements.
