KOZHIKODE:  The Kerala Literature Festival (KLF), one of Asia's greatest literary events, will take place from January 12 to January 15 at Kozhikode Beach.

The sixth edition aims to welcome an impressive roster of delegates, including Nobel laureates, Booker Prize–winning writers, top politicians, historians, journalists, cinema and theatre figures, performers and artists, and diplomats.
KLF is a major event on the region's tourist calendar, drawing visitors from all around India and beyond. Pinarayi Vijayan, the state's chief minister, would open the four-day celebration.

The sixth edition, which saw 3 lakh visitors in previous years, also debuted its own app. With the festival's massive annual growth, a jump to 40,000 registrations is anticipated this year.

The app will enable information to be shared with a bigger audience. The app will also enable users to register for the literature festival, stay informed about session modifications, run contests, and access news about the festival in addition to the fundamental capabilities like viewing schedules and speakers lists.

The event, which will take place in six locations along the Kozhikode beach, is projected to draw up to 400 speakers from 12 different nations. It includes Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan, 2022 Booker Prize winner Shehan Karunatilaka, International Booker Prize winner Geetanjali Shree, Noble Laureates Ada Yonath and Abhijit Banerjee, American anthropologist Wendy Doniger, Piyush Pandey, authors Jeffrey Archer, Francesc Miralles, Shobhaa De, Tushar Gandhi, MT Vasudevan Nair, There will also be actors Emily Perkins and Prakash Raj, politicians Kapil Sibal, businesspeople Kris Gopalakrishnan and Sanjeev Sanyal, among others.

There will also be invited guests from Turkey, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, New Zealand, the Middle East, the Far East, and other regions of the world. Nighttime fireside discussions, classical music concerts, theatrical performances, and performing artists will make up the festival's entertainment component.

The KLF sessions aim to map literature through discussions on aspects of science and technology, art, cinema, politics, music, environment, literature, pandemic & its impact, business & entrepreneurship, health, art & leisure, travel & tourism, gender, economy, culture genomics, history & politics, and various aspects that influence human consciousness.
