On Thursday, March 24, the Kerala Chief Minister will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.

Meanwhile, in Kerala, the K-Rail-Silverline Project has sparked outrage, with BJP leaders engaging in the protest, citing poor people's voices. The K-Rail SilverLine is a state-funded project that intends to reduce travel time between the north and south ends of the state from 10 to 12 hours to four hours.

K-Rail, a joint venture between the Kerala government and the Railway Ministry, would build the 530-kilometer length from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. SilverLine trains will stop at Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Tirur, Kozhikode, and Kannur before arriving at Kasaragod, starting from the state capital.

The project would not be halted, the  Chief Minister said. As politics and protests over the LDF administration's dream project heat up, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the Kerala government would implement the K-rail or SilverLine project since it concerns the future of the state's children.

Residents reportedly blocked revenue officials from setting survey stones for the SilverLine project in Kuriyalippady within city borders on Monday, March 21. Officials were forced to stop affixing stones due to popular outcry. The Congress and its allied organisations, as well as the BJP, have intensified their opposition to SilverLine, the LDF government's dream project.
