Patna: Railway basketball player Lithara KC and her friend Sonu, hailing from Kerala, committed suicide in Patna, the capital of Bihar, on Tuesday. Now, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has written a letter to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this regard. Pinarayi Vijayan has demanded a comprehensive and impartial probe into the Lithara case from the Bihar Chief Minister.

Kerala CM Vijayan wrote, "I am writing this letter to draw your attention to the unfortunate incident of the untimely death of Lithara KC, a native of Kozhikode district of Kerala, who was working in the Indian Railways in Patna. He is a basketball player.'' At the same time, it was written in the letter that one of The relatives of Lithara has brought to my notice that in his opinion there were no circumstances which led to the fact that Lithara could take such a step. I appeal to you to kindly direct the concerned officers to conduct a comprehensive and impartial inquiry into the matter, this will allay the apprehensions of those close to Lithara KC. The Bihar Chief Minister's Office in a statement said that CM Nitish Kumar has directed to take strict action in the matter, though the letter from the Chief Minister of Kerala has not yet been received, but the government is fully aware of the incident. It is sensitive and those who are criminals will not be spared.

In fact, basketball national player Lithara committed suicide in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The incident took place in Gandhinagar under Rajiv Nagar police station area of Patna where The body of Lithara was found in a rented house. The landlord told the police that the case took place late on Monday evening. Lithara's family had been calling her several times since Monday but she was not picking up the phone. An employee who worked with him also called him, but Lithara did not pick up the call. Then the family members of Lithara living in Bengaluru asked the landlord about him on his mobile. On Tuesday morning, the landlord and the staff working with him were stunned when they saw it in Lithara's room. The body of Lithara was found hanging in the room. The room in Lithara was locked from the inside. In a fit of rage, the landlord reported the matter to the Rajiv Nagar police station. The police sent the body for postmortem. The police have also given his phone from Lithara's room for investigation. At the same time, the police are questioning several persons from the office who worked with him. The landlord says she lived very little here. He was always out to play his games. Police have also recovered a suicide note that was written in Malayalam. The police are currently refraining from saying anything about the case.
