New Delhi: Praising Modi is becoming costly for Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. After Kerala Congress, President Mullapalli Ramachandran, senior party leader, and MP K Murlidharan have expressed displeasure over Tharoor's statement.

Murlidharan has said that the party in Kerala is very dissatisfied with him (Shashi Tharoor) and has said how one can stay in Congress party by praising Modi. If Modi is to be praised, Then Tharoor should join the BJP. Seeking strict action against MP's Murlidharan Darwaza Shashi Tharoor, he said that those glorifying Narendra Modi need not stay in the Congress and at the same time said, "I had once criticized the Congress. However, I left the party at that time," he said.

Shashi Tharoor recently said, "I have been saying for six years that if Narendra Modi does something right or says the right thing, he should be appreciated. So that he has the credibility of what he does when he does something wrong and we criticize him. I welcome others from the Opposition for agreeing to the opinion for which I was criticized at that time.
